Text Message Terms

ScrapCycle sends curbside compost customers service messages about their own account: a reminder the night before a scheduled pickup, and replies to questions you text us. You can also text us to skip a pickup or ask when your next one is.

We do not send marketing or promotional texts through this programme.

You opt in yourself, in your account settings at scrapcycle.org, by entering your mobile number and ticking the consent box. The box is never ticked for you, and we never add a number on your behalf.

Consent applies to the specific number you entered. If you change your number, you will be asked to agree again on the new one.

Message frequency varies with your pickup schedule — expect about two messages per pickup cycle, plus any replies to messages you send us.

ScrapCycle does not charge for text messages. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Reply STOP to any message and you will be unsubscribed immediately. You will receive one confirmation and then nothing further. You can also remove your number at any time in your account settings.

Stopping texts does not affect your compost service, your billing, or the emails we send about your account.

Reply START to resume texts after stopping, or HELP for help.

Messages are supported on major US carriers. Carrier support can change, and delivery is not guaranteed.

Your mobile number is used to send you the messages described above and is not sold or shared for anyone else's marketing. We keep a record of when you agreed and the exact wording you agreed to, which is what lets us honour and evidence your choices.
